Shop local and support your community bookstore on National Independent Bookstore Day!
Independent Bookstore Day, the last Saturday in April, is an annual celebration of independent bookstores across the country. This year, we’ll be celebrating a little bit differently. Here’s how you can participate:
Shop Local on Saturday, April 24
Either stop by the shop or place a book order on Independent Bookstore Day to support the shop. We will be open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. In addition to in-store browsing, we are also taking orders through our Contact page here, or over the phone at 434-295-2552.
Check Out Our Independent Bookstore Day Exclusives
Keep an eye out on social media for a preview of the exclusive Independent Bookstore Day items we will have in-store. These exclusives are made just for independent bookstores, and in years past, we have featured everything from signed books to limited edition prints, and even literary onesies! Please note that we are not able to put Independent Bookstore Day exclusives on hold, and we are not able to sell them until Independent Bookstore Day.
Participate in Our Tote Bag Special
Starting Saturday, April 24, and continuing while supplies last, spend $50.00 or more on a purchase, and you can receive a free limited edition Independent Bookstore Day tote bag. To receive your tote bag, please mention “Independent Bookstore Day” when you pay for your order (over the phone or in person). Please note that we will not be able to reserve tote bags over email, and they will only be available at checkout on a first come, first served basis. Limit one tote bag per customer.
Stop by the Rose Garden
Since we won’t be able to gather for our Rose Garden Party this year, we’ll be opening up the Rose Garden for the whole day. Stop by to take a selfie with cutouts of some of your favorite authors, or simply take a moment to admire the roses. Our Rose Garden is located outside, behind the shop, and is accessible from the alley off 4th St.
