Join us for First Fridays as we celebrate the art of Marion Roberts, whose work will be on display up on the mezzanine for the month of April. This event is free and open to the public.
Marion Roberts, a retired UVA professor, taught medieval art for forty years. In retirement, she began using Photoshop to create patterned photographic images. Her most recent work is a series of tall photographic panels, mounted on black gaterboard. Each image is a variation on the same plant—Prunus laurocerasus, the Latin name for common cherry laurel—which grows around her deck at home in Earlysville.
