Join us for the next installment of the Charlottesville Reading Series, featuring essayist Helen Chandler and musician Sam Bush. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

Helen Chandler is an Irish writer living in Charlottesville and a graduate of the University of Virginia’s MFA program. Her work has appeared in Lithub, The Stinging Fly, Tammy, and The Tangerine, among other places. She is at work on a book of nonfiction about her many aunts.

Sam Bush has been writing songs as the leader of folk/rock band The Hill and Wood for ten years. Their latest release, When You Go, appeared in January 2017. He is the Music Minister at Christ Episcopal Church and director of The Garage. His latest project was an album of hymns entitled Songs of Comfort.
