This virtual event is a part of the 2021 Virginia Festival of the Book. Please see below for more information about how to register and to purchase books.

The Charlottesville Chapter of The Links Incorporated presents its 17th annual Celebration of the African American Literary Tradition, including musical and spoken word performances by community youth and a tribute to Book Festival authors. Invited authors will speak about their books, in response to questions provided by The Links, and take questions from attendees. The event will include authors Mahogany L. Browne, Louis Chude-Sokei, Anna Clark, Jordan Ifueko, Kiki Petrosino, Sadeqa Johnson, and Nadia Owusu. The Links Incorporated is an African-American women’s service organization; the Charlottesville chapter was chartered in March 1998.

As part of the all-virtual 2021 Virginia Festival of the Book, this event is free to attend and open to the public. Given the unique structure of this event, you must register to attend, and capacity is limited. For more information, please contact The Links directly or visit charlottesvillelinks.atspace.com.
