Join us for First Fridays as we celebrate the art of Jane Skafte, whose work will be on display up on the mezzanine for the month of October. This event is free and open to the public.
Jane Skafte’s pencil drawings carry the message that the climate is changing rapidly and that hundreds of effects can be seen around the planet. Text will accompany each drawing, explaining the symbolism and references to actual events.
Jane Skafte is an artist and designer from the Charlottesville area. She earned an MFA/MA from Syracuse University and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been exhibited in many solo exhibitions, and most recently in Syracuse, NY, and McGuffey Art Center. She teaches classes in drawing and painting both privately and in workshops.
