Join us for First Fridays as we celebrate broadsides, book arts, and the visual record of a local creative community now housed at (and known as) the Virginia Center for the Book. This community of writers and artists—formerly known as Virginia Arts of the Book Center and founded as the McGuffey Arts of the Book Center—has created broadsides, collaborative projects, and memorable programs for more than twenty years, with a legacy of activity in Central Virginia and beyond. Find out about projects, membership, and our new location in the Jefferson School.
Art from the Virginia Center for the Book will be on display up on the mezzanine for the month of March. This event is free and open to the public.
