Join us for a special Storytime with local author Helen Williamson, who will be reading from her new children’s book, Adventures in Dinglewood. All ages are welcome!

Helen Williamson was born in Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland. She attended university at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, where she received her BA and MA. For many years, she taught creative writing in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she lives with her husband.

From childhood, Helen was enchanted by words, books, and storytelling, and this love led to the writing of her own books. She is the author of Tales from Balladhoon, A Pineapple Dream and Other Nonsense, Higgledy-Piggledy Thoughts, I Just Met a Dinosaur, and her latest release, Adventures In Dinglewood.

In these delightful stories, two mice, Henrietta and Jasper, and their woodland friends lead us on many magical adventures in Dinglewood. Among other stories, we meet a wood fairy whose wings have frozen and a water nymph who has been trapped in her underwater cave. Beautifully illustrated and written, Adventures in Dinglewood will entrance young readers with their imagination and originality.
