Join us for a reading with poets Susannah Nevison and Christopher Kondrich. Susannah Nevison will be reading from her latest work, and Christopher Kondrich will be reading from his new poetry collection, Tread Upon. This in-person event will be free and open to the public. We recommend arriving early for the best seating.
Susannah Nevison is the author of the poetry collections Lethal Theater (Ohio State University, 2019) and Teratology (Persea Books, 2015), which won the 2014 Lexi Rudnitsky First Book Prize. With Molly McCully Brown, she is also the coauthor of the poetry collection In The Field Between Us (Persea Books, 2020), which was a 2025–2026 NEA Big Read selection. Her poetry and nonfiction have appeared in The Los Angeles Review of Books, Tin House, The New York Times, Electric Literature, The Kenyon Review, and elsewhere. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, and currently teaches in Virginia.
Christopher Kondrich is the author of three poetry collections, including Tread Upon (Copper Canyon Press, 2026) and Valuing (University of Georgia Press, 2019), which was a winner of the National Poetry Series, a finalist for The Believer Book Award, and one of Library Journal’s selections for the best books of the year. His poetry appears widely in such venues as The Atlantic, The Kenyon Review, The Nation, The New York Review of Books, The Paris Review, Ploughshares, and The Yale Review. He has received fellowships from MacDowell and Yaddo, and is currently poet-in-residence in the MFA Program in Creative Writing at the University of Maryland.
